WHEN TO BEGIN?  If you failed 2 IVF cycles or if you are over 35, it makes no sense to continue expensive IVF treatment.  Due to very high costs ( $12000-18000 per cycle) and relatively low success chance (12-20% per transfer) for women over 35, continuing your own treatment will further bring you into financial and emotional bankruptcy.  IVF clinics get paid by transfer, not by success.     See Age and Ovarian Reserve

WHEN SUCCESS RATE IS HIGH?   If the egg donor is younger than 28.  In case, you can carry pregnancy on your own, you might try to use an Oocyte donor.  In case, you cannot carry, using help of the Gestational Carrier is the only solution.  Based on our experience, we recommend using an egg donor  under the age of 28 and a Gestational Carrier under the age of 35.  It gives pretty high chance of success, about 60%
per transfer.  In our 10 years of experience, it takes 1-2 IVF attempts to achieve pregnancy.  We never experienced more than IVF 2 attempts. However, we cannot predict your case, we only share our own data. See Surrogacy Success Rate

TIME FRAMES:  Normally, we match Intended Parents with the Gestational Carrier within 3-6 weeks, Traditional Surrogate within 2-5 months.  In most cases, Gestational Carriers are from PA, VA, MD, NJ and other neighboring states.   But we also work with surrogates from ALL states where surrogacy is legal in the USA.  

GESTATIONAL (TRADITIONAL) SURROGATE:   We select only those women who are in excellent health, free of any sexually transmitted disease and have had a healthy reproductive history. She must have had at least one child and be involved in a stable marriage or partnership, with her partner being supportive of her decision.

HEALTH INSURANCE: Most of our Gestational Carriers have their own health insurance.  In some cases, the Intended Parents may choose to buy the insurance for the Gestational Carrier.  It is not expensive, monthly  cost is $250-300 and we allow to deduct this amount from the Surrogate's base fee.

SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES:  All IVF patients are screened for STD and various infections, including both Intended Parents, Gestational Carrier and her husband (partner).  It is a law.

GESTATIONAL SURROGACY:  The majority of our clients choose Gestational Surrogacy over Traditional Surrogacy because the Gestational Carrier carries a child who is not biologically related to her.  This approach eliminates legal risk of child custody, since Judges prefer to give custody to the biological parent (s), not the Gestational Carrier, in case of dispute.  (KEEP IN MIND, THERE WERE ONLY FEW CASES WHEN
GESTATIONAL CARRIERS CLAIMED CUSTODY AND USUALLY LOST) Thousands of surrogate births occur every year in the USAand the legal risk is extremely low.  Surrogacy is very stable and safe process.  The only problem in surrogacy is achieving pregnancy, since  it may take more than 1  IVF.

TRADITIONAL SURROGACY:    We accept "Traditional Surrogacy via IVF" cases with some reservations.  Traditional Surrogate will go through IVF procedure because the success rate is much higher ( more than 40% per transfer).  The advantage is that it may cost a little less, since less tests, procedures, and fees are needed and there is no need for an egg donor.  If you decide to pursue Traditional Surrogacy, keep in mind that it may take longer time because women prefer NOT to be biologically related to the child, so it takes longer to find a traditional surrogate.

MEDICAL PROCEDURES:  Our Agency recommends using IVF/ICSI procedures ONLY.  We DO  NOT recommend using an IUI (Artificial Insemination) due to very low success rate (about 10% per transfer).  In our practice, we had only 2 successful IUI pregnancies  and 18 failed IUI cycles.  We stopped using IUI in 2003 due to low success rate.
