VA, MD, NJ and other
neighboring
states. But we also work with donors from ALL
states and
from Canada.
HEALTH
INSURANCE: Some donors may have insurance that covers their
STD testing .
SEXUALLY
TRANSMITTED DISEASES: All IVF
patients are screened for STD and various infections, including both
Intended Parents and Egg Donor and her partner. It
is a law.
SPECIAL
SEARCH AND "DESIGNER" BABY: Recipient
families tend to look for an egg donors who matche
their
own physical characteristics, such as ethnic background, eye color,
hair color, height, etc. Another important issue is
educational background. Recipients expect their donors to be
at least as educated as they are.
In the same
time, we observe very remarkable trend: recipients want their
egg donors to look like models and to be educated at Ivy League
schools. We support such a choice at our agency.
